I have been practicing with Krystal for 2+ years and throughout I have been challenged, frustrated, enlightened and encouraged. I was intrigued by her classes and her unique style and often left with my curiosity piqued.
It’s clear that she had great respect for yoga and with that, she is able to provide a very well rounded approach for her students. In addition to her unending creativity and new perspectives on asana, she is extremely precise, in both cues and intention. She is concerned with your movements, as a student, and often speaks as though you are the only student in the room - assuring you that she is engaged with your individual practice.
Krystals expectations are high. She demands the best out of her students; and her classes are continually challenging in unpredictable ways, always led with the intention is to create the best students that we can all be. Along the way she provides tips, encouragement, and support. I have been able to discover my strengths and weaknesses through her guidance. Her understanding of the far-reaching implications of yoga helps to round out your understanding of your own body and practice. She is able to bring her students that clarity to their level - she doesn’t talk down to you or diminish your practice, she brings yoga to the level of understanding for each student.
Krystal represents herself similarly outside of the studio. She has great personal integrity while being personable and caring. She creates an environment of trust - which allows me to ask questions and seek further within my practice. When I do, she is respectful and answers my inquiries with insight and trust; always helping me where I am. She is a very thoughtful person, on and off the mat. Krystal’s goal for us all is that we should be able to take the lessons learned on the mat into the real world. She encourages you to take a well-rounded approach to yoga and to include many of the facets in your regular life. Most importantly for me - she has inspired me to learn more about myself, my body, yoga, and so much more.
